Founder of Context, Frank brings clients a wealth of experience from both in house and agency worlds and remains a hands on MD; equally at home presenting to the board or burning the midnight oil over a technology white paper. He has worked on a number of international clients in telecoms and consumer tech including: 3Com, Palm, Roku, Telia Sonera, Simoco and devolo. He also has wide experience in tech start-ups, helping to launch leading cash back site musicmagpie and carrentals.co.uk.

As well as being a co-founder of Context Craig is one of the leading technology PR experts in the UK with over 20 years’ experience looking after major international clients like Check Point Software Technologies, F-Secure, 3Com and Tunstall Healthcare. He relishes the challenge of translating complex technical issues into the language of business and has high level expertise in key sectors such as security and healthcare IT.


Dan Hackney, Head of Digital

Dan is our head of digital and, as such, provides content marketing and analytics expertise to our technology PR clients as well as managing all the agency’s digital marketing activities. Dan has all the technical smarts, having started life as a software developer, before completing a business degree at Keele University. Dan worked in marketing for technology and recruitment companies for over 10 years before joining Context.

Chris Hogg, Senior Account Manager

A former journalist, Chris brings a wide range of skills encompassing both traditional and digital forms of media and communications. He has previously worked for a number of publications in the local and regional press, including most recently the Stoke Sentinel, where he served as the title’s digital publisher. Originally from the Wirral, Chris graduated from Durham University with a degree in English before embarking on his career in journalism, is a keen sports fan, Everton supporter and all-round technology enthusiast.


Jenni Livesley, Account Manager

Jenni has been with Context since 2010 after graduating from the University of Leicester with a degree in Psychology and Sociology.  She has expertise in the healthcare IT, telecoms,  and consumer technology sectors, running both PR and social media programmes across all her clients. Jenni also works with clients outside the tech sector in the diverse fields of event management, recruitment and adoption support. She is a keen horse-rider and chorister, having once sung for the Her Majesty the Queen!

Matthew Scorer, Account Manager

Matt brings a wide variety of experience, having managed fully integrated B2B and B2C public relation campaigns covering the education, professional service, technology, retail and mobile payments sectors. He currently works in sectors such as mobile CRM, security and e-commerce software.  An accomplished writer, Matt graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a degree in Journalism and has previously worked as a freelance journalist in local press as well as contributing articles to the official website of his beloved Sunderland AFC


Eliza Chapman, Account Executive

Eliza joined Context in 2012, having previously worked for an international B2B marketing agency and more recently, as an in-house copywriter for the Fuller Research Group. In her role as PR Account Executive, Elizabeth works with a variety of clients including those within the IT Security, charity and healthcare sectors. Eliza graduated from the University of Manchester with a first class honours degree in English Language.

Abby joined Context as a graduate trainee with a degree in English from Nottingham University where she was a leading contributor to the campus magazine: Impact. As an account executive she now creates an impact working on product review programmes for consumer tech clients while also creating content for media and social media campaigns in healthcare tech and for automotive technology clients. Abby is a keen Indie music aficionado and “technically” a fan of Man United “by birthright.”

Matt has over ten years’ experience in technology PR, working with brands like Blackberry, Cisco and Intel. On the consumer PR side Matt has worked with TomTom and Orange. His experience covers a wide range of sectors from mobile apps and security to fintech and UX software. A keen Stoke City supporter Matt moved back to his northern roots after eight years with London PR agencies.

Sarah has worked in agency and in-house PR for five years, following a degree in English Literature. Her experience covers information security, biotechnology, online payments, engineering and more. Originally from rural Northumberland, she sadly doesn’t have a proper northern accent.


John Cummins, Marketing Consultant

Following a successful corporate career with senior roles at British Telecom, Altos Computers, Acer and Wyse Technology, John moved in technology PR and marketing. He then founded his own marketing consultancy business in 2000 to deliver practical business development services to a wider range of US and European technology clients, ranging from start-ups to established vendors. He specialises in developing revenue generating programs for technology vendors combining online/offline marketing together with practical sales skills.

Pat Mellalieu, Finance Manager

Finance Manager

Pat is an experienced financial manager and looks after the books at Context.  She also provides admin support to the team.  She has held accounts positions for a number of agencies and major corporations including Tarmac.
